After school supervised study in St Brigid’s provides an environment conducive to effective study for students who may wish to avail of this option at an additional cost. Each session is supervised by a member of staff from St. Brigid’s. Students participating in session one only must leave the school building as soon as their study slot has ended. Students are supervised during the break times of 3.55pm - 4.15pm and 6.20pm - 6.50pm. During this time, students have access to microwaves, boiling water, tea/coffee and a fridge to store cold food.
On the days of scheduled parent teacher meetings, study will commence at the earlier time of 3.55pm. It will, however, finish at the normal time of 6.20pm at no additional cost.
Attendance at study is recorded each evening and students receive a stamp in their journal to confirm their attendance at each session. Further information regarding study is available in the student diary and a detailed letter outlining the terms of study is shared with parents on the school app at the beginning of each term. Students are advised to contact the school office to book a place in study as early as possible at the start of the term. Places are limited and study fees are non-refundable.
