Every year our 5th year students who study Spanish get the opportunity to practice the Spanish language with a trip to Madrid. In 2023 the girls travelled from Wednesday 30th of August to Saturday 2nd of September. Below is a sample of their itinerary.

Day 1

03:50 Assemble in Dublin Airport (DUB) – Terminal 2 

06:20 Depart from Dublin to Madrid (DUB) 

10:00 Arrive Madrid (MAD) Terminal 4.

11:00 Meet by your Torres coach and transfer to Madrid.

12:00 Free time for lunch 

13:00 A guided coaching tour of Madrid learn about this great city and its history. Sights to watch out for along the way include the Atocha train station, the Bullfighter stadium, the Plaza Castilla, the Obelisco de Calatrava, the Plaza Espana and the Royal Palace.

15:30 Continue by coach to Bernabeu Stadium.

16:00 Self-guided tour of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, home ground of the Real Madrid football club.

18:00 Meet coach and transfer to Generator Hostel Madrid.

19:00 Approximate arrival time at your accommodation. Check in to Generator Hostel Madrid for your 3-night stay.

20:00 Evening meal  accommodation.

Overnight at accommodation.

Day 2

08:30 Breakfast at  accommodation.

09:30 Meet  coach and transfer to Segovia.

11:00 Enjoy some free time exploring Segovia. Segovia is a historic city northwest of Madrid, in central Spain's Castile and León region. Its centuries of settlement have resulted in a rich architectural legacy, including medieval walls, Romanesque churches, a former royal palace and a Gothic cathedral. Its iconic ancient Roman aqueduct has more than 160 arches, most in the original mortarless granite, and stands above Plaza Azoguejo in the heart of the city.

Free time for lunch 

13:30 Meet your coach and transfer to El Escorial.

14:30 Free time exploring El Escorial. San Lorenzo de El Escorial is a town in the Guadarrama mountains of central Spain. The Monastery of El Escorial is a complex

of Renaissance buildings, courtyards and fountains.

17:00 Meet coach and transfer to FresCo Madrid.

18:00 Evening meal will be served at FresCo Madrid.

19:00 Meet  coach and transfer back to accommodation.

Overnight at  accommodation.

Day 3:

08:00 Breakfast at your accommodation.

09:30 Make your way to the Prado Museum (20-minute walk).

10:00 A guided tour of the Prado Museum. Its dazzling and vast display of works include ones by the great European masters such as Velázquez, Goya, Raphael, Rubens, and Bosch.

11:15 Meet coach and transfer to Parque Warner.

12:00 The group will spend the day at Parque Warner – Movieworld. The park has 36 attractions, some of them unique in Europe, distributed in six big theme areas: Hollywood Boulevard, Movie World Studios, Cartoon Village, DC Super Heroes World, Old West Territory y Parque Warner Beach.

19:30 Meet  coach and transfer to Trattoria Pinocchio.

20:30 Dine at Trattoria Pinocchio.

21:30 Meet  coach and transfer back to your accommodation.

Overnight at  accommodation.

Day 4:

09:30 Breakfast at accommodation.

Check out of  accommodation and load luggage onto the coach. 

10:30 Transfer to Madrid Zoo Aquarium.

11:00 Free time to enjoy Madrid Zoo Aquarium. Ranked among the top zoos in Spain, it has open enclosures allowing you to almost touch the animals. As well as a wide selection of animals and birds, the zoo offers special displays of reptiles such as iguanas and chameleons.

12:30 Meet coach and transfer to PleniLunio Shopping Centre.

The group enjoy some shopping at PleniLunio Shopping Centre.

Free time for lunch 

16:30 Meet your coach and transfer to Madrid Airport.

17:10 Assemble in Madrid (MAD) – Terminal 1.

19:40 Depart from Madrid to Dublin (DUB) on flight, FR7157.

21:15 Arrive Dublin (DUB) Terminal 1.
